Combatch.Live recently had the pleasure of visiting North Star Academy’s newly relocated gym, situated in the historical St. Michael’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Philly. The moment we stepped onto the mats, we knew this was an experience unlike any other. Surrounded by majestic stained glass windows, we immediately felt inspired and energized.

Unique Vibe and Unmatched Atmosphere
Rolling beneath grand wooden beams and beautifully preserved stained glass windows added a unique depth to our training session. The vibrant colors and peaceful ambiance of the chapel turned dojo created an atmosphere that was both calming and motivating.
Located just a mile from North Star’s previous gym, the new facility provided us with easy access and a warm welcome. The convenient central location in Philly made our visit stress-free, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in training and camaraderie.
What truly stood out was the way the historical architecture effortlessly blended with modern training facilities. The mats were spacious, comfortable, and perfectly suited for our Jiu Jitsu rolls, making every minute of training enjoyable and effective.
